Planning Department Leads District Project Inspection in Ajumako Enyan Essiam

The Planning Department of the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Assembly has led a project inspection exercise across the district, assessing the progress of ongoing development projects and verifying completed ones against approved plans.

The inspection, coordinated by the District Planning Coordinating Unit (DPCU), took officials to project sites in the education, health, water, and roads sectors. The exercise forms part of the Assembly's monitoring and evaluation responsibilities, ensuring that projects are executed according to specifications and within budget.

The Planning Department's role in the inspection is central to the Assembly's development management framework. As the secretariat for the DPCU, the department is responsible for tracking the implementation of the District Medium-Term Development Plan, coordinating project monitoring, and ensuring that physical works align with planned outputs and resource allocations.

Officials inspected ongoing projects including classroom blocks and CHPS compounds, checking progress against schedules and identifying bottlenecks. The Planning Department is expected to use findings from the inspection to inform adjustments to the district's investment programme and to flag projects requiring additional resources or intervention.
