AJUMAKO-ENYAN-ESSIAM DISTRICT CELEBRATES GHANA’S 68TH INDEPENDENCE DAY IN SPLENDID FASHION UNDER THE THEME “REFLECT, REVIEW, AND RESET”!
The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District marked Ghana’s 68th Independence Day on 6th March 2025 with a grand celebration held at the school field of the University of Education, Winneba, College of Languages, Ajumako Campus.

Under the national theme “Reflect, Review, and Reset,” the event drew a large crowd of pupils and students from across the District, who came together to honor this historic occasion. Several dignitaries, including the District Coordinating Director, Honorable Presiding Member, and Commanders of the various Security Agencies, graced the event and played a significant role by inspecting the parade and taking the salute, adding a sense of dignity and patriotism to the celebration.
The ceremony was chaired by the esteemed Omanhene of the Ajumako Traditional Area, who emphasized the importance of reflecting on Ghana’s journey, reviewing progress, and resetting for a brighter future. Inspiring speeches were delivered by the District Education Director and the Honorable Presiding Member, who urged the community to “reflect on Ghana’s hard-won freedom, review our collective progress, and reset our commitments to unity, development, and patriotism.”
One of the highlights of the celebration was the impressive march past by the pupils and students. Their flawless discipline and synchronized movements embodied the pride and spirit of the day, showcasing the potential of Ghana’s future leaders.
The event also celebrated academic excellence and outstanding performance. Prizes were awarded to the brightest minds in a pre-organized quiz competition, highlighting the intellectual achievements of the students. Additionally, awards were presented to the best-performing schools in the march past, recognizing their precision, dedication, and teamwork.
The District Assembly extends its heartfelt congratulations to all participating schools, students, teachers, and organizers whose collective efforts made the 68th Independence Day celebration a resounding success. The enthusiasm, patriotism, and sense of responsibility displayed by the youth reaffirm our hope for a prosperous and united Ghana.
