The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District commemorated Ghana’s Independence Day on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, with a vibrant ceremony held at the school field of the University of Education Winneba, College of Languages, Ajumako Campus.
The event witnessed a large turnout of pupils and students from various schools across the District, who came together to celebrate this momentous occasion. Dignitaries present graced the occasion with their presence, inspecting the parade with solemnity.
The ceremony was chaired by a distinguished Omanhene of the Ajumako Traditional Area. The gathering was further enriched by insightful addresses delivered by the District Education Director and the Honorable District Chief Executive.
The highlight of the celebration was a captivating march past by the pupils and students. The participants displayed remarkable discipline and unity, their coordinated movements resonating with the spirit of the occasion.
Adding to the festivities, the ceremony saw the rewarding of outstanding achievements. Prizes were awarded to pupils and students who triumphed in a pre-arranged quiz competition, showcasing their academic prowess. Additionally, awards were presented to the most exceptional performers in the march past, recognizing their dedication and precision.
