INAUGURATION OF THE 9TH AJUMAKO-ENYAN-ESSIAM ASSEMBLY

The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Assembly on Monday, February 12th, 2024, held the inauguration ceremony for its 9^th Assembly at the Ajumako Teachers Cooperative Credit Union. The ceremony marked the official commencement of duty for the newly elected Assembly Members.

The ceremony welcomed a delegation from the President’s office, led by Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah. Joining them were the District Chief Executive, Hon. Ransford Kwesi Nyarko, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Habib Mohammed, Heads of Department, and the revered Omanhene of the Ajumako Traditional Area, alongside other distinguished guests.

The event included the election of a Presiding Member and the swearing-in of the Assembly Members. The Electoral Commission oversaw the election of the Presiding Member, with the honor going to Hon. Evans Ebenezer Mensah. The District Magistrate Court judge subsequently swore in the Presiding Member and administered the oath of office to the elected Assembly Members, signifying their commitment to serve the district.

The inauguration of the 9^th Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Assembly marks a new chapter for the district’s governance. The District Assembly extends its congratulations to the newly elected Assembly Members and the Presiding Member.
